Learning in a new light

The Weißkirchen primary school blends tradition with modernity: open learning areas, a new auditorium, and a wooden sports hall enhance the historic school building from 1895. A well-conceived lighting solution from Zumtobel provides optimal learning conditions – energy-efficient, aesthetic, and functional.
A modern, minimalist space with bookshelves, red curtains, and a table with two chairs. Bright ceiling lights illuminate the room.

Customised lighting solutions in record time

Within just six months, Zumtobel developed a specially tailored LED solution for the wooden ceilings of the classrooms. The MIREL LRO recessed luminaires with a 3,000 K colour temperature and optimal glare reduction provide eye-friendly lighting for focused learning.

Soft light for communal areas

In open zones and communal areas, Zumtobel relies on the organic ONDARIA luminaire. Its soft, uniform light fosters social interaction and a pleasant learning environment – from the auditorium to the dining hall.

Perfect lighting for digital education

The old luminaires were not suitable for working on screens – Zumtobel provided a solution. Thanks to LRO technology with UGR<19, the new luminaires offer glare-free lighting that is perfect for tablets and interactive learning methods. Plus, MIREL LED FEW ensures uniform board lighting.

Robust & intelligent: light as needed

The new gymnasium is equipped SLOTLIGHT infinity luminaires that are resistant to ball impacts and provide dynamic lighting. In sanitary areas, IP54-certified downlights offer optimal safety. A well-conceived lighting plan that unites functionality and design.

The architect needed a cost-effective prism luminaire that would accurately fit the ceiling dimensions. In just six months, Zumtobel developed a customised solution that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
