STEP-G has worked with Zumtobel to develop a flexible and energy-efficient lighting concept.
The case study demonstrates how the ST Extruded Products Group (STEP-G), in collaboration with Zumtobel, has realized an innovative lighting concept for its production facility. The central challenge was to develop energy-efficient, flexible, and high-performance lighting that satisfies both the stringent requirements of industrial production and aesthetic standards. The goal was a future-proof lighting solution that simultaneously reduces power consumption and improves working conditions.
Optimal illumination and energy savings in manufacturing
Zumtobel developed a precisely attuned lighting concept that optimizes visual conditions in manufacturing areas while simultaneously ensuring energy savings. The planning emphasized uniform illumination, low maintenance costs, and simple integration into existing infrastructures. Through targeted light distribution and intelligent controsl, the comfort for employees was significantly increased and efficiency was boosted.
Robust, flexible, efficient — LED systems for industrial lighting
The robust TECTON C LED light strips and the high-intensity CRAFT II Plus luminaires were used among other systems. These products are characterized by their durability, energy efficiency, and modular expandability. TECTON C offers a maximum flexibility through simple plug-and-play, while CRAFT II Plus, with its high light output, is specifically conceived for high ceilings — perfect for all industrial applications.
Future-oriented through technology and sustainability
A custom solution was not necessary because Zumtobel's modular system could be perfectly adapted to the requirements. Nevertheless, great importance was placed on sustainability: The products used are particularly energy-efficient, long-lasting, and recyclable. That is why the lighting solution not only supports productivity but also the environmental goals of STEP-G.
