A Connected Campus for a New Era of Work

Lighting played a key role in shaping the architectural vision from the start. With custom SUPERSYSTEM inline luminaires integrated into HAUFE’s acoustic slatted ceilings, Zumtobel created elegant light lines that echo the rhythm of the Loop. Their tool‑free installation and precise alignment ensure a seamless blend of form and function. This linear design continues with SLOTLIGHT infinity slim in corridors and adjoining rooms, giving the space a clear identity and memorable atmosphere.

Designing Atmosphere: Lighting That Shapes Experience

Beyond architecture and atmosphere, the headquarters highlights Zumtobel’s advanced digital building management. Integrated sensors track daylight and occupancy, adjusting lighting to save energy. Combined with the building management platform, they provide insights into room usage, efficiency, and even cleaning needs. This smart lighting infrastructure forms the digital backbone of the campus, supporting transparent, efficient, and sustainable operations for Continental.

"The lighting design for the Continental headquarters reinforces our central design idea: The Loop, a continuous spatial continuum, runs through all the buildings and connects them with each other. Continuous light strips underline the dynamics of the architectural design and mark the Loop both internally and externally as the heart of the ensemble."
explains Martin Henn, managing director and design principal at the architectural firm HENN
