The Montefiore Hospital in Hove, UK, has been completely modernized with one goal: to create an atmosphere that fosters healing and well-being. The new lighting concept should not only be functional but also aesthetically pleasing, while simultaneously enhancing energy efficiency. The requirements ranged from patient-friendly lighting to the integration of intelligent control systems.

Zumtobel has developed a customised solution that meets the diverse requirements of a modern hospital. Glare-free lighting, intelligent control, and daylight-dependent adjustment ensure optimal conditions for both patients and medical personnel. The lighting mood adapts flexible to the respective use, from examination to relaxation.
High-quality luminaires for hygiene, efficiency, and design
High-performance LED products such as SLOTLIGHT infinity, PANOS infinity, KAVA, Omega Pro, Katona, and Chalice were used. These luminaires meet the highest requirements in energy efficiency, maintenance ease, and design. They offer uniform illumination, are easy to clean, and thus help ensure compliance with strict hygiene standards.

Zumtobel relied on cutting-edge LED technology in combination with the LITECOM lighting control system. The lighting's intelligent sensors automatically responds to daylight, significantly reducing power consumption.
