Optimal lighting for highest precision at Ferrari Classiche.

The "Ferrari Classiche" department in Maranello is more than just a workshop – it is a laboratory and museum for historic Ferrari sports cars. Classic models are inspected, evaluated, and restored here. The highest level of precision is essential to maintain the value of these automotive masterpieces. To optimize working conditions, in 2013 Ferrari decided to comprehensively modernize the workshop lighting. The goal was to implement an energy-efficient and sustainable lighting solution that would enhance both employee productivity and work quality.

Durable and maintenance-free technology for maximum efficiency

Zumtobel's installed LED technology is distinguished by its long lifespan and minimal maintenance requirements. The robust TECTON LED luminaires are dust-protected (IP50) and certified according to the latest industry standards. Intelligent emergency lighting was also integrated: Every third luminaire is connected to a separate emergency power supply to ensure a safe working environment in the event of a power outage. The sustainable lighting solution will provide reliable illumination for many years to come and assist Ferrari Classiche in documenting automotive history with the highest precision.

Flexible light management for diverse work requirements

The Ferrari Classiche workshop integrates various usage scenarios: from precision work on engines to showcasing restored vehicles. The dimmable LED lights flexibly adapt to specific requirements. With an illuminance of 1,000 Lux and a neutral colour temperature of 4000 Kelvin, the ergonomics of the work stations aren't just optimized, the iconic red Ferrari paintwork is also highlighted perfectly. This creates a productivity-enhancing environment that offers the highest visual quality.
