Luxury meets light: Made to measure lighting solution for Maison Ullens Paris.

Maison Ullens' first flagship store in Paris unites elegance, craftsmanship, and modern design. The Belgian fashion brand represents luxury fashion and premium materials like leather and cashmere. The goal of the project was to create an exclusive shopping experience that highlights the brand identity while offering space for intimacy and discovery. The international architecture firm OMA transformed this vision with a clear design language and precious materials - supported by a subtle yet impactful lighting design by Zumtobel.

Sensitive lighting design: subtle, focused and effective

Zumtobel's lighting solution highlights fashion and materials in the Maison Ullens store in style. . Balanced base lighting with PANOS infinity downlights and CARDAN LED spotlights creates a pleasant spatial atmosphere. The MICROTOOLS lighting system uses targeted lighting accents on the shelves, while the minimalist VIVO XS system almost disappears into the ceiling. The luminaires channel the focus on the products without being the center of attention themselves.

Colours and materials perfectly showcased by LED technology.

A one-hundred percent LED lighting solution guarantees not only energy efficiency but also the highest colour fidelity — with a colour rendering index of Ra > 90. This makes fabrics and materials appear authentic, precious, and almost "tangible". Even the exclusive surfaces of the interior architecture – such as onyx marble, wood, and brass – gain a new dimension through the attuned lighting. The versatile SUPERSYSTEM E1 completes the lighting concept and provides flexible accent lighting in special areas.
