Versatile lighting solution for Thun-Expo Exhibition Centre

Thun-Expo Exhibition Centre in Switzerland, with its seven halls, offers space for a variety of events — from exhibitions and weddings to livestock markets. To accommodate this diversity, a flexible lighting solution was needed that could be adapted to the multitude of requirements. The newly constructed Hall 6 was to be equipped with innovative lighting technology that is both functional and atmospheric.

Flexible lighting ambience with tunableWhite

Zumtobel implemented a tunableWhite lighting solution in Hall 6, unique in Switzerland. With a variable colour temperature ranging from 2700 to 6500 Kelvin and an illuminance of 500 lux, it can create various lighting atmospheres — from cool and stimulating to warm and welcoming. With this flexibility, the lighting can be fine-tuned to match the mood and style of any event.

Smart lighting solution with TECTON and LITECOM – flexible and scalable

After the success in Hall 6, the 2400 m² Hall 1 was also fitted with a similar solution. This time it was the TECTON continuous-row lighting system, distinguished by its simple installation, high energy efficiency and modular expandability. Both halls are controlled by the intuitive LITECOM lighting management system, operated by smartphone or tablet.

The LED luminaires not only offer high-quality lighting, but also save energy. Combining efficient LED technology with intelligent lighting management has brought down power consumption — a win for sustainability. What's more, the flexible controls enable on-demand usage, saving both money and the environment.
