A new building with a signalling effect
With its striking new building, Volksbank Freiburg is making an architectural statement. Located directly next to the main train station, the building forms a gateway to the city – characterised by sustainable design and a clear, modern architectural language. This futuristic environment called for an equally visionary lighting solution: functional, aesthetic, and identity-defining. In close collaboration with Zumtobel, the lighting designers from a·g Licht, and designer Hadi Teherani, a custom lighting solution was developed that perfectly combines architecture and atmosphere.
Poetic light as a trademark
Zumtobel's lighting solution for the Volksbank Freiburg once again proves how light can be used to create identity. The individual lighting concepts not only boost the efficiency of the new building, they also bring it to life – as a place where people can feel comfortable, concentrate on their work and enjoy inspiring architecture. “ELOQUIA is more than just a luminaire – it is a statement,” designer Elke Malek from Hadi Teherani Design explains.
